Your Pets Always Receive the Best Care
Patients at Gateway Veterinary Clinic have a thorough Annual Wellness Exam which is required every 12 months to satisfy the highest doctor/patient relationship standards. Once the doctor has completed this annual exam, your pet will not be charged for additional office visits if they return for booster vaccines during that year. As a standard of care, each patient receives an oral exam and guidance on methods to maintain or correct their vital oral health. Once dental disease is identified, we can provide state of the art care in our in-house dental suite. Clients benefit from an automated reminder system that alerts them to upcoming vaccine boosters and tests via email, text, post cards, or phone calls. Our doctors can advise on weight management issues, behavioral challenges, training, and medications that can be utilized to manage those issues, and coordination of care with veterinary specialists. Our technicians are all trained in the compassionate handling techniques needed to keep your pet safe and happy. You can be confident that we will provide the highest quality of care from the puppy years to your pet’s senior years.
We’re Proudly AAHA AccreditedGateway Veterinary Clinic follows the recommendations of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), Companion Animal Parasite Council, American Heartworm Society, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. Adherence to their guidelines ensures we are advising our clients on the most current and effective preventative programs for the threats found in our geographic area. Clients are asked to complete a Lifestyle Survey during their pet’s annual exam to help the staff assess any unique risk factors. Taking your pet hunting, to the dog park, groomer, kennel, daycare, or training class can impact the vaccines and preventatives they need. We are proud that our hard work and high standard of patient care earn us our AAHA Re-Accreditation every 3 years!
The doctors at Gateway Veterinary Clinic believe it’s important not to over vaccinate so 3-year vaccine guidelines are followed when possible. Our vaccines are guaranteed by the manufacturers and, while reactions are extremely rare, they will cover the cost of diagnostics, treatment, and side effects should your pet have an adverse reaction. For our families who welcome a puppy into their home, we provide a detailed and customized Vaccine Protocol to establish a timeline for vaccines which will fully protect your new pet. And for our families with cats, we provide non-adjuvanted vaccines to guard against injection site reactions.
Gateway Veterinary Clinic has an in-house laboratory for timely and accurate testing. We also partner with a highly respected local laboratory, specialty laboratories, and universities to provide you with all the testing needed to diagnose and care for your patient’s standard and specialty care. Our canine patients are tested annually for Heartworm Disease and 3 common tick-borne diseases allowing us to diagnose and treat earlier and more effectively in the disease process. For the safety of your pets, our doctors recommend year-round prevention of heartworm, fleas, and ticks and will counsel on the most effective preventative products based on your patient’s individual lifestyle.
